Have you ever wanted to know what it feels like to live off grid? Have you heard of earthships and always wondered what it would be like to stay in one? If you are thinking about one day living in a different, more connected way then staying at earthship karuna is a unique opportunity to test, taste and inquire!


Earthship Karuna is a stunning and unique property located in a beautiful clean and quiet nature spot at Karuna Dham 15km from Kodaikanal. 

Earthship Karuna A luxury home that is totally off grid and self sufficient. It is a large round open plan building with a 32 foot high vaulted ceiling and spectacular views of the mountains from the entire home. 

Earthship Karuna is here to demonstrate that off grid living can be far more enjoyable than even the best hotels! You only have to step inside and you will understand!

The space

The interior has been lovingly sculpted and finished with international artists. Some features that stand out are the beautiful spiral staircase, the wall murals, and of course plants and trees growing inside the home. 

Outside there is a large private garden with your own Gazebo. You can sit outside and enjoy the most incredible views of the area whilst enjoying your dinner. We can also deliver meals to you from our vegetarian restaurant.


Guest access

You have full access to the entire house and gardens as well as 25 acres of private nature, waterfalls, streams, natural pools and forests. 

We also have a vegetarian restaurant at Karuna by a beautiful waterfall. You can eat there or just relax and soak in the fresh clean air and views. It about a 5 minute walke uphill to get there, and 3 minutes downhill going home :)

Other things to note

  • - The location is rural and 14km from kodaikanal town. This is a blissful nature experience! Please do not expect a normal hotel like experience!
  • - If you have difficulty walking this may make it hard for you to get around due to some steep paths... It is a 10 minute walk down hill on steep paths from the jeep entrance to Earthship Karuna.
  • - Please note all restaurant charges are additional including breakfast. Please pay all restaurant bills in cash. 
  • - The earthship has a full kitchen where you can also cook if you wish. Please bring any food supplies with you as we are far from the shops.
  • - No meat allowed
  • - Any guest found breaking any rules, especially parties, will be asked to vacate immediately with no refund.
  • - Quiet hours after 11pm
  • - Latest possible arrival time is 5pm due to remote location. You may not be able to reach us if you arrive after 5pm
  • - You must come with Murugesh Jeep driver. Forest department do not allow any other vehicles to pass. Please call him on 9865151047 to arrange pickup

    Booking Information
    The cost to rent earthship karuna is ₹8,000Rs per night for one guest. Additional guests are ₹1,000 per night. Maximum number of people is 4. I will confirm the price and availability when i receive your enquiry.


    Please note minimum stay length is 2 nights.

    If you would like to book you will be requred to send 100% pre payment to secure your booking.

     

    REFUND POLICY

    - We offer a full refund within 24 hours of booking.
    - Then 60% refund up to 7 days before the arrival date.

    - We can not offer refunds less than 7 days from the check in date.
